Jim Morrison's Grave

People are strange when you are a stranger Faces look ugly when you're alone Women seem wicked when you are unwanted Streets are uneven when you are down. These lines are very familiar to the classical rock n' roll music fans. Such powerful and pathos-evoking lines, mentioning the harsh facts of life has been written by very few poets and lyricists of the modern age. And Jim Morrison is definitely one of them.

The most important thing about Morrison's lyrics are they are always great pieces of poetry and gives the audience a detailed conception about the philosophy of life and makes you look to the life from an altogether new perspective.

Jim Morrison was born on 8th of December,1943 in Melbourne. As he grew matured he adopted a bohemian lifestyle and went on roaming around different places throughout California and other parts of U.S. But he never ceased his habit of reading poetry and studying various forms of Art. Perhaps, this was the time when his poetic genius received its proper nourishment. In the same time he opened up a rock n' roll band with his fellow mate Ray Manzarek. There were two other musicians- Robby Krieger and John Densmore. And The Doors was formed. Morrison himself was the major lyricist and vocalist, Ray Manzarek was the keyboard player and Robby Krieger, John Densmore were the guitarist and percussionist, respectively. Very soon after the establishment of The Doors it did not get that much appreciation form the audience due to their total novel sense of music.

At this moment of time there cannot be any denial of the fact that their music sense was much much ahead of their time. This musical compactness received more empowerment form the exquisite lyrics of Jim Morrison's and his vocal appeal.

This great poet, vocalist and lyricist indulged himself greatly in the use of drugs and alcohol and at a certain period of his life he became a follower of ancient mysticism. But, due to this bohemian lifestyle his health declined and he came to Paris with his girlfriend Pamela Morrison. Suddenly on the 3rd of July,1971 he was found dead in a bath tub at the age of twenty seven. He was buried at the famous Le Pere Lachaise Cemetery in eastern Paris.
Every year numerous fans of Jim Morrison, The Doors and lovers of his music do gather in this Le Pere Lachaise Cemetery, Paris to pay tribute to the great vocalist, lyricist and poetic genius of our time. And if you just see the coincidence then you will understand that Paris is perhaps the most appropriate place for a genius like Jim Morrison to succumb to his final sleep.

This is the end Beautiful friend This is the end My only friend, the end

All the Morrison fans and the rock n' roll fans must come to see Jim Morrison's grave and pay homage to this genius.
